Description

A downhill hike through forests and alpine pastures, facing the plain, to enjoy the beautiful view.

From the Roc d'Orsay (access by cable car or train to Bretaye), take the path on the right, below the Roc d'Orsay cable car arrival point. You then follow the direction of the Col d'Argnaules in the heart of the forest. You reach a vast meadow, Plan Savoireu, which offers you a panoramic view of Villars, the RhĂ´ne valley and Leysin. You continue downhill to finally reach La Truche. From La Truche, there are two possible routes: - follow the direction of Plambuit to finish your walk (road on the right when arriving at La Truche). A train connecting to Aigle or Les Diablerets runs from Plambuit. (line Aigle SĂ©pey Diablerets - ASD) - follow the direction of Ecovets and then at the end of a small steep tarmac road you take the direction of Villars by the Chavasses path to bring you back to the foot of the cable car.

Practical Information

SOME ADVICE : - Plan your hike (route, duration, weather) - Equip yourself appropriately; sturdy shoes (preferably high heels), appropriate clothing and protection against the weather - Take sufficient food and drink - Take a first aid kit - Be aware of weather changes - Do not walk on grass and crops - Close all pasture gates - Extinguish fires, refrain from making fires in case of drought - Take your rubbish with you
