Leysin - Solepraz - Le Sépey with snowshoes
Route Information
Description
A beautiful route between forests and pastures offering beautiful views of the surrounding peaks. It leads to Solepraz and then down a path to Le Sépey.
Starting behind the ski lifts and going around the Fabiola Hotel, the path climbs through the forest for 15 minutes and takes you to the ski run (to be shared with skiers). At the intersection of the Plans, continue on the lower path and after about 15 minutes of gradual ascent, you will come across 3 beautiful chalets buried in the snow that line the path. At the intersection just after, continue straight on towards Solepraz on a path winding between chalets and the start of the chairlifts. To continue to Le Sépey, allow another 45 minutes of firm descent through the forest.
Practical Information
Allow around 1h45 from the Fabiola Hotel to Solepraz. To continue on to Sépey, factor in a 45 minute steep descent through the forest. You can then take the post bus from Sépey to Leyin (timetable on cff.ch).
