Description

Escape for a stroll and discover the Verde Valley, an unspoilt corner of paradise!

From the village of Rougemont, reach your starting point next to the Chalet de la Planche at Les Ciernes Picat. A gravel car park awaits you at the start of your route. Before starting your ascent, take the time to read the information on the car park sign. Your route is in a federal free district. This is an area where the flora and fauna are very important. Take a look at the pictures of the animals so that you will be able to recognise them if you come across them! Ready to set off? Your walk takes you along a gravel road alongside the Ciernes Picat river. Between meadows and forests, enjoy a few small waterfalls to cool your feet! When you reach the highest point on the route, stop off at the Sori tasting area. Enjoy some sweets or a cold drink to recharge your batteries for the return trip. The rest of the way back to your starting point follows the same route as the first.

Practical Information

- accessible in summer and autumn - Ask about the opening times of the refreshment area. It is not open every day. - Families: use a baby carrier rather than a pushchair
