Description
The Grand Chamossaire is the highest point of the commune of Ollon at 2112 m. altitude. It overlooks the resort of Villars and offers a panoramic view of the entire Vaud Alps up to Lake Geneva.
The summit of the Grand Chamossaire can be visited in summer and in winter! During the winter, the summit of the Grand Chamossaire is reachable from the ski area of Villars-Gryon-Les Diablerets. From Bretaye, the 6-seater chairlift takes you up to this summit offering a panoramic view. During the summer, the summit of the Grand Chamossaire can be reached on foot or with the chairlift from Bretaye. It is the starting point for hiking on the crests of the Villars resort. Since 2021, various facilities allow you to take advantage of this summit to admire the surrounding mountains and landscapes and to have fun between Le Grand Chamossaire and Bretaye. You can discover : - a panoramic terrace at the top of the Grand Chamossaire and at the station of Bretaye - an artistic path with seven sublime viewpoints - a playground at the Col de Bretaye - a game between the Grand Chamossaire and Bretaye
