Description
A combination of hiking, unusual accommodation and culinary discovery: that's what the Cheese Trails offer.
Each of these trails takes you to a mountain pasture chalet, nestled at an altitude of some 1,500 metres, in the heart of the pastures overlooking the Pays-d'Enhaut. Here you will discover the secret of making Etivaz PDO cheese, which is made by hand and is the fruit of great know-how handed down from generation to generation.
Spending a night in the mountain pasture, isolated from the world, sleeping on a bed of straw or on a mattress; a new experience! As there is no question of going to bed hungry, the evening will be enhanced by a plate concocted by your host, in the purest mountain tradition.

Conditions
If you have booked this package directly on our website, we will take the liberty of contacting you to confirm or not the chosen date. The exact date of the activity cannot be fixed in advance due to the production conditions on the mountain pastures and the availability of producers. We will therefore offer you several possible dates and you can then choose one of them.
Reservations must be made at least 5 days before the date of the activity. The activity takes place from 1 person and for a maximum of 8 people. Each participant must have his/her own personal sleeping bag and hiking clothes adapted to the mountain. This activity takes place in all weathers.
If cancelled or modified up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. For any questions about the activity, please contact the organizer by email or by phone during office hours.

Timetable
You have to be at the chalet by 6:00 pm. The ascent on foot can take from 45min to 3h30, depending on the mountain pastures. The activity finishes around 11:00 am the next morning.
