Outdoor cinema - Abbaye de Salaz

Description

Immerse yourself in a unique cinematic experience in the heart of the garden at Salaz Abbey, under a magnificent starry sky.

During these three exceptional evenings, a giant screen will be set up in the garden of the Abbey. Several films (a different one each evening) will be screened in an unusual setting, in collaboration with the ciné-club chablaisien. The films are shown at dusk (around 9 pm). - THURSDAY 15 AUGUST: "CIAO CIAO BOURBINE!" by Peter Luisi (Swiss Comedy of the Year) The ‘No Bilingual’ initiative demands the use of one and only one national language! The result: a crazy popular vote plunges the country into a state of national chaos. Even more so when the verdict is in: Switzerland becomes a unilingual country... And French-speaking! Many citizens are suddenly in a state of crisis. This is particularly true of Walter Egli, a Swiss German working for the federal police, who is responsible for ensuring that the transition to unilingualism goes smoothly. Alongside his partner in French-speaking Switzerland (Vincent Kucholl), he investigates an emerging resistance group in the south of Switzerland, which is using every means at its disposal to oppose the implementation of the initiative. - FRIDAY 16 AUGUST: "YESTERDAY’, by Danny Boyle Jack Malik is a struggling singer-songwriter whose dreams are sinking into the sea around the small village where he lives in England, despite the encouragement of Ellie, his childhood best friend who has never stopped believing in him. After an accident with a bus during a strange power cut, Jack wakes up in a world where he discovers that the Beatles never existed... which will bring him face to face with a serious case of conscience. - SATURDAY 17 AUGUST: "RIVERBOOM", by Claude Bechtold A shy young graphic designer who becomes a war reporter, a happy but oblivious photographer, a moral but workaholic journalist and a road-trip through Afghanistan after 9/11. Combine all these elements to create a humorous, eye-opening documentary and you get RIVERBOOM.
