At the foot of the Vaud Alps, the vineyards of Aigle cover 135 hectares. Thus, 18 winegrowers and merchants offer Aigle, Chablais AOC wine. The majority of the vines are planted with Chasselas. The glacial moraine soil and the foehn wind give the Chasselas a very special touch. Aigle is also distinguished by its terraced vineyards whose impressive walls are unique ecosystems for various protected species. The heat stored during the day in the walls allows the vines to enjoy a unique microclimate, favourable to maturation. Stretching between the RhĂ´ne and the Chamossaire, the vineyards of Ollon cover 122 hectares and 8 winemakers produce Ollon, Chablais AOC wine. The vineyards of Ollon represent a mosaic of terroir and are divided into 4 entities: Verschiez, Ollon, Antagnes and Saint-Triphon, each benefiting from its own microclimate, exposure and soil. These specificities illustrate the richness and diversity of the Ollon vineyard, which allows the successful cultivation of numerous grape varieties.
