Discover Switzerland's only canning factory, located in the heart of the Chablais vaudois region, and enter the gourmet world of Hugo Reitzel, a Swiss brand founded in 1909 in Aigle. For over a century, this family-run business has been perpetuating its unique expertise in the production of pickled vegetables, sauces, vinegars and other accompaniments.

The vegetables used are grown in French- and German-speaking Switzerland, in close collaboration with local farmers. This approach guarantees fresh, authentic and 100% Swiss products.

Every Wednesday and Friday from March to November, the factory opens its doors to you for an exciting guided tour, followed by a gourmet tasting in the HUGO Shop.

A 4-stage tour:

1. Vinegar factory
   Find out how HUGO's own vinegars are made, for preserving vegetables and preparing sauces and mustards.
2. Canning factory
   See how the vegetables are processed, from filling the jars to pasteurising them. You'll see where the famous Reitzel pickles come from.
3. Sauce workshop
   Immerse yourself in the world of Swiss sauces! Ketchup, mustard, salad dressings... Learn all about how they are made and put into jars.
4. Tasting
   End your visit with a tasting of Reitzel products directly in the HUGO Shop. There's nothing like biting into a gherkin to appreciate all the expertise!
