This Swiss municipality is located in the Alpes vaudoises. The picturesque old town of Aigle offers tourists many attractions, such as the Château d'Aigle.

From playing in the Aigle Adventure Park to exploring the legendary cultural treasures - a visit to Aigle is always worthwhile! For day trips, we highly recommend the excursion sites, which can be reached very quickly - especially in good weather.

Aigle is not only a popular destination for wine lovers, it also offers great activities for families and sports enthusiasts. You can go on beautiful walks from Yvorne to Bex. Or along the Rhône, whether on foot, by bike or even on rollerblades! For children, the Adventure Park - located in the Fahy forest - with its numerous climbing courses is a must. In summer, the Olympic swimming pool, located near the campsite, offers delicious refreshments. Aigle is also the world capital of cycling, with the World Cycling Centre housing the headquarters of the International Cycling Union (UCI). With its state-of-the-art facilities, the centre allows athletes to train all year round. Of course, the site is open to all cycling enthusiasts who want to discover the related sports, such as track cycling in the heart of the velodrome or BMX on the track adjacent to the centre!

Open all year round, we invite you to "swinger" at the Golf Club Monteux, located on the outskirts of the town, where you can hit the ball on 18 holes under the shelter of secular trees. The panoramic view of the Dents du Midi underlines the harmony of the region. Overlooking the town, the Château d'Aigle, with its medieval charm, tells the story of the town. In the castle, you can discover, through the Museum of the vine, the wine and the label, the wine notoriety of the region. The surrounding vineyards produce great wines, known throughout Switzerland, especially from the king grape variety, the Chasselas. The cream of these white wines meet every year at the castle for a unique event: the Mondial du Chasselas.

The low altitude of the town of Aigle offers a pleasant climate for walking all year round. In winter, a walk along the snow-covered vineyards is very soothing. The old buildings have an incredible charm under the snow. The heart of the town and its picturesque Rue de Jérusalem are a delight during the December period.

Aigle can be reached by car, bus or train, and is about 15 kilometres south-east of Montreux. Thanks to the good road and rail links, it is very easy to get there and its proximity to the lake and mountains is most appreciable.
