What if skiing were the guiding theme of your day in the Alpes Vaudoises, allowing you also to explore all the other activities within your reach? Whether you’re heading out to race down the slopes in the Leysin–Les Mosses–La Lécherette area, up to Glacier 3000, or to Villars-Gryon-Les Diablerets, our destinations offer you an infinity of experiences, ensuring a rich and varied day.
Do you want to keep feeling the sensations of gliding, just in a different way than on your legs? Whether in Gryon or in Les Diablerets, our sledding slopes are perfect for you! In Gryon, the trails located in the Frience recreational area create a family-friendly and welcoming atmosphere where everyone can sled at their own pace. On the Les Diablerets side, the descent promises to be more sporty: get ready for a ride of more than 7 km down to the village! The snowy alpine landscapes immerse you in a majestic setting for an even more magical day.
And for the most daring… Are you ready to take on the challenges of the unmissable Tobogganing Park in Leysin? Perched on inner tubes, speed down the icy snow slopes and shiver through the loops and tight turns of the various runs that welcome you with open arms.

Located right next to the Tobogganing Park, the Snow Village is made up of furnished and decorated igloos. It’s the perfect place to take a break after your runs, for an aperitif or a meal, in a typically polar setting that guarantees a unique atmosphere! If the temperature drops a bit when entering the village igloos, hearts are quickly warmed by the carefully crafted Scandinavian-style décor, the warm blankets, and the appetizing meals, delighting you with aperitif platters or authentic Swiss fondues. One of the igloos even houses an ice chapel, where a priest holds services every Sunday!
If you’d like to enjoy a gourmet break in an unusual setting, and you’ve been skiing in the Villars-Gryon area, we have the perfect address for you: the restaurant l’Etable, in the Gryon sector! Its name is no coincidence, as it is inside a real stable, beautifully transformed, that you can taste revisited local specialities. In addition to its large panoramic terrace with views over the Alps, the establishment also features an educational farm: your table neighbours, the two donkeys Sancho and Tempête, as well as the “black-nosed” sheep with their own space behind a glass window, will entertain young and old during the meal.
If you still have energy to spare and your legs are ready to take you even further, why not let yourself be tempted by a Diablerets Rando-Raclette? As long as you reserved your backpack the day before and picked up your equipment at the Tourist Office before closing time, you’ll have everything you need to enjoy a delicious raclette, accompanied by local products, wherever your steps may lead you. Whether you decide to set out on snowshoes, on foot, or ski touring… All routes are available to you, for an authentic meal.
After working your body, it’s time to engage your mind! The Alpes Vaudoises offer a territory rich in traditions, sure to leave no one indifferent and providing a complete immersion. Nestled at the top of the Ormonts Valley, in the hamlet of Vers-l’Eglise, the Musée des Ormonts is easily accessible from the ski slopes of the TVGD area and offers a precious extension to your ski day: discover snow as you’ve never imagined it! With its exhibition on avalanches, which marks 40 years since a dark period for the villages of the valley facing these natural phenomena, the museum allows you to explore the mechanisms of snow, from the formation of flakes to the triggering of avalanches. It’s an opportunity to learn more about the mountain environment in winter, to pick up some useful field knowledge, and to explore archive footage and stories from survivors.
The Musée des Ormonts reopens its doors on 20 December.
And to immerse yourself in everyday traditional life of the 18th century, head to one of the oldest chalets in the resort of Leysin! Carefully designed and run by a team of enthusiasts, this museum faithfully recreates a typical mazot of the time and invites you to discover more than a thousand objects that once belonged to the Leysenouds. In a succession of small rooms, visitors can admire furniture, kitchen accessories, toys, as well as many posters and press clippings recounting the history of the resort up to today. Several themed rooms highlight different aspects of life in the chalet, allowing adults and children alike to imagine life in past times – sometimes even trying to guess the use of objects that have disappeared or been transformed today.
Located inside the building of the restaurant La Fromagerie, free access for the restaurant’s customers.

After the effort comes comfort! What could be better than slipping into warm water to soothe your muscles and release bodily tension after a sporty winter day? In Leysin, the spa of the Hôtel Central Résidence invites you to take a break in the outdoor pools, heated to 33°C and surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Alpes Vaudoises. Open to hotel guests as well as external visitors, the spa also includes a heated indoor pool, a sauna and a hammam, as well as a wide choice of Ayurvedic massages to restore balance and energy. Well-being and nature come together in this unique place, offering a high-altitude relaxation experience.
In the Villars area, at the foot of the slopes, the Baths open their doors to moments of pure relaxation. The pool area is connected to a wellness zone, offering saunas and hammams for sessions of deep relaxation. These are complemented by a cold-water pool that invigorates your body and boosts your immune system. The outdoor pools, also heated, allow you to relax while enjoying a breathtaking panorama of the snow-covered mountain ranges. You might even be tempted by a massage or a personalised treatment…
Finally, the famous Bains de Lavey offer you a memorable experience near Bex.
