Les Bains de Lavey has completed its stunning transformation and now offers a perfect relaxation experience, combining aesthetic design with high-quality treatments. I visited it after its reopening on 26 July, and it’s definitely worth a visit! My name is Romain and I love discovering unforgettable places to relax in my spare time.
With excellent train connections to Saint-Maurice from Bex or Aigle, followed by a short postbus ride to Lavey-les-Bains, the site is easily accessible by public transport.
After not having visited for several years, it was a wonderful surprise to rediscover Les Bains de Lavey earlier this September as if for the first time. A completely renovated spa centre, with great taste and attention to detail.
At the beginning of the week, the lobby of the Bains de Lavey is quiet. A peaceful atmosphere reigns from the moment you arrive, promising a relaxing experience. Once you have your magnetic wristband on, it only takes a few minutes to slip into the misty atmosphere of the thermal steam... and the relaxing experience begins!

The water at Les Bains de Lavey is naturally warm (60°C) and its properties have been recognised since the mid-19th century, when Bex-les-Bains was a renowned spa resort using the spring from the Chablais massif. The surrounding Alps enhance the atmosphere of the place, despite the rather mixed weather on the day.
The main outdoor pool is so large that it is difficult to see everything in a single visit. Whirlpools, bubble beds, swan necks, waterfalls, active current courses, etc. The quality of the facilities is noteworthy, as is the maintenance and cleanliness of the premises. Small annexes offer a more exclusive experience, with even warmer water. I let myself be carried away by the serenity of the place and am on the verge of falling into the arms of Morpheus...

After the outdoor and indoor pools, I headed for the wellness area (accessible from 16 years of age), which includes a wide variety of saunas, steam rooms and relaxation rooms.

There is also an area reserved for naturists. It's best to take a look at the signs before entering: this avoids any surprises! Each room has its own unique atmosphere, with relaxing and soothing scents. From the carefully chosen materials to the music in the relaxation rooms, every detail has been designed with your comfort in mind.

Les Bains de Lavey offers aquagym classes, massages and even two excellent restaurants, in addition to its renowned Grand Hôtel des Bains. I opted for a simple, well-deserved cappuccino at the café before heading out, already promising myself a return visit for a full weekend of relaxation.
