Open Cellars Vaud

The Caves Ouvertes Vaudoises in Aigle and Yvorne are an ideal opportunity to discover the wines of the region in a friendly, festive and authentic atmosphere. Every year at Whitsuntide, the winegrowers get together and open the doors of their estates for tastings of their best vintages. In Aigle, the event takes on a special dimension thanks to its picturesque setting in the historic Cloître district, dominated by the Château d'Aigle and surrounded by terraced vineyards. Visitors can stroll from cellar to cellar, and along the way discover the artisans of taste, chat with enthusiasts and taste local specialities. The experience also extends to Yvorne, a charming neighbouring wine-growing village, where the cellars come alive in the heart of the village, providing a warm, bucolic backdrop to the festivities. The purchase of a tasting glass gives free access to the various wine cellars in Aigle, Yvorne and the canton during the two days. Shuttle buses and walking routes will be available to facilitate travel between the various wine-growing communes.
