Description

Looking for a new challenge? This suggested itinerary combines the "Le classique" and "Tour du Vanil noir" routes into one. On the programme: four passes, 128km, 2'660m of ascent and descent! Cross the regions of Gruyère, Saanenland, Les Diablerets, Les Mosses and of course the Pays-d'Enhaut.

Starting from the village of Château-d'Œx, the first part of the route follows the "Tour du Vanil noir". Leave the Pays-d'Enhaut and head towards Gruyère and the Col du Jaun. Before reaching the top of this first pass, it is time to leave the busy road. Head into the Abländschen valley, overlooked by the famous Gastlosen mountain range. Cross the Mittelberg pass and return to the Pays-d'Enhaut with a stop in the charming village of Rougemont, renowned for its architectural heritage. The second part of the tour joins the "Le classique" tour. Follow the direction of the Col du Pillon via the German-speaking villages of Saanenland. Descend from the summit of the Pillon to reach the Diablerets and Le Sépey. From there, attack the last pass of this challenge: the Col des Mosses before returning to your starting point.
