"Rochers des Rayes" mountain
Description
Situated at an altitude of 2,026m, this summit offers an excellent view of the Manche valley and the surrounding mountains! Sit on the fresh grass and enjoy the nature as far as the eye can see.
The summit can only be reached on foot via the itinerary "Rochers des Rayes et Dent de Combette". Leave your car on the route de la Manche and take the direction of this panoramic summit. The walk takes you along a path between forests and high mountain landscapes. The last ascent is sportive, but hold on and you will reach the highest point. At the top, you can enjoy the view of the RĂĽbli, the emblematic mountain of Rougemont. To the right, the Bernese Alps can be seen between two clouds. And how can you miss the famous Dent de Combette which stands proudly beside you! The place is ideal for tasting good fresh products from the Pays-d'Enhaut. Take a seat on the summit and start tasting a piece of Tomme Fleurette, a real cheese celebrity in Rougemont. Don't leave without taking a selfie of yourself and the green nature in the background! You can then look back on this moment in nature before coming back on your next hike.

RECOMMENDATIONS : - Follow the itinerary "Rochers des Rayes et Dent de Combette - accessible in summer and autumn ACCESS & PARKING : - by car: possibility to leave your car at the parking de la Manche (46°31'08.2 "N 7°12'12.4 "E) - by train: via the MOB line from Montreux to Zweisimmen (stop "gare de Rougemont). Count 3h30 to the summit.
