Read article arrow_forwardAt the bottom of the valley, the majestic Miroir d’Argentine (2,325 m) towers over the natural site of Solalex. Mountain restaurants, hiking trails and breathtaking panoramas make it an unmissable stop for lovers of nature and gastronomy.
Another emblematic curiosity is the hamlet of Taveyanne. Classified as a national historic heritage site, it preserves its 16th-century chalets and its alpine pasture, declared a nature reserve in 1970. Every summer, the famous Taveyanne pastoral festival attracts visitors and locals alike to celebrate Alpine traditions.
Gryon is the perfect family-friendly resort. High above the village, the recreational area of Frience offers toboggan runs, beginner ski slopes and a welcoming setting for families in winter. In summer, it turns into a swimming spot, with an emerald-green pool that provides refreshing moments in the height of summer.
The Gryon ski area features pistes for all levels as well as ski touring routes with outstanding viewpoints. Hikers can also enjoy an extensive network of winter walking trails, while the open-air ice rink adds a convivial touch to mountain stays.
