Plan Praz Via Ferrata

The Via Ferrata of Plan Praz, located in Leysin, is a very difficult route reserved for experienced climbers looking for a sporting challenge in an exceptional natural setting. Installed beneath the Leysin - Berneuse cable cars, this via ferrata runs through the forest, offering a calm and immersive atmosphere.

The route is sporty and varied, not very aerial but very physical. It starts with a demanding section that puts a lot of strain on your arms. The course includes a monkey bridge, a narrow beam, a footbridge suspended in the trees and ends with two large vertical ladders. There are two possible exits: an intermediate escape route to shorten the climb, and the main exit after the final difficulties. Depending on your pace and choice of exit, allow around 1 hour to complete the via.

The Via Ferrata de Plan Praz is easily reached on foot: around 15 minutes from the Hôtel Le Grand Chalet, or 30 minutes from the Feydey station and the start of the Leysin ski lifts. If you don't have your own equipment, you can hire via ferrata equipment (helmet, harness, lanyard) from Hefti Sports, located next to the start of the ski lifts.
