In the heart of the small hamlet of Crettaz, at the bottom of the village of Leysin, lies Chocokiel, an artisan chocolate maker that creates unique sweets made from organic sheep's milk. Ezequiel and Sara handcraft a range of chocolates, pralines and refined gift boxes, without preservatives or colourings, combining artisan expertise and a passion for natural products.
The secret of Chocokiel? The very creamy sheep's milk, which enhances the chocolate and transforms each praline into a unique taste experience. Each creation reflects the founders' passion for authentic, gourmet chocolate, inspired by the organic farm and the magnificent landscapes of the Swiss mountains.
Ezequiel, head of the laboratory, is the creative soul of Chocokiel. Trained at the hotel school in Madrid and holder of a CFC in pastry and confectionery in Leysin, he has completed numerous specialised chocolate training courses in Switzerland and Spain. Since the age of four, he has dreamed of producing chocolate in Switzerland – a dream that has now come true. Sara is in charge of logistics: making boxes, managing orders and the website.
Located on an organic farm, surrounded by pastures and breathtaking mountain views, they draw inspiration from nature to create surprising flavours. The ‘Edelweiss’ box perfectly illustrates their creativity: white chocolate with Tahitian vanilla and Modena balsamic vinegar, or local chamomile and honey, enhanced by milk from the farm.
Chocokiel's creations are available in selected grocery stores and shops in the village of Leysin, offering locals and visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy these Swiss artisan chocolates right in the village.
