Le Col de la Pierre du Moëllé

The Col de la Pierre du Moëllé is located at 1663 meters above sea level between Leysin and Les Mosses. It is particularly popular with road cyclists for its steady climb and open views of the surrounding peaks and the landscapes of the Vaud Alps.

Just a few minutes from stage 8 of the Route Panorama Alpin, a road cycling route linking Montbovon to Aigle, the Col de la Pierre du Moëllé offers a remarkable viewpoint over the region. The route attracts many cyclists thanks to its alpine setting, peaceful atmosphere, and varied scenery.

The descent towards the Hongrin valley continues the route but crosses a military training area. Access to certain sections may be temporarily restricted during exercises by the Swiss Army. Cyclists are advised to follow signage and check access conditions before continuing.

Easily accessible from Leysin and Les Mosses, the Col de la Pierre du Moëllé is a popular passage along the Route Panorama Alpin and other cycling routes in the region.
