The Bex Arts Triennial

Founded in 1981, the Bex Arts Triennial is a contemporary art exhibition distinguished by its unique and visionary format. It takes place in the Szilassy Landscape Park, offering an exceptional natural setting where the artworks—sculptures, installations, and performances—engage directly with the landscape. Bex Arts offers an immersive open-air experience, blending a cultural stroll with reflection on the often profound connections between art, nature, and the world around us.
The Bex Arts Foundation pursues an ambitious mission: to provide a national and international platform for visual artists, while also fostering exchanges with other artistic disciplines. Committed to contemporary creation, youth, and the preservation of heritage – both natural and built – it situates art within a pre-Alpine region marked by its industrial past and a changing socio-economic reality.
Over its 15 editions, the Triennial has established itself as one of Switzerland's leading open-air art events. Since its inception, Bex Arts has presented more than 300 artists and invited a wide audience – local, regional, and national – to take a fresh look at our environment by revealing the power of the dialogue between artistic creation and nature.
