Grinning pumpkins, witches, ghosts and strange creatures are getting ready to take over the Alpes Vaudoises! Throughout the autumn holidays and until 1 November, Halloween comes in all shapes and sizes in Aigle, Les Diablerets, Leysin, Col des Mosses and Villars.
Treasure hunts, creative workshops, trick-or-treating, haunted houses and candlelit concerts: little monsters and grown-up thrill-seekers are spoilt for choice. Put on your best costume and discover the Halloween events you won't want to miss in the Alpes Vaudoises this autumn.
What if Halloween became the perfect excuse to explore the Alpes Vaudoises? From 10 October to 1 November 2026, Aigle, Leysin and Col des Mosses are launching a joint challenge for adventurers.
How does it work? Head to one of the three tourist offices to pick up a special Halloween treasure hunt, then set off to solve puzzles, tackle challenges and complete mini-missions as you explore each destination. Participants will receive a gift at the end of each adventure.
The bravest among you can go even further: complete all three Halloween challenges in Aigle, Leysin and Les Mosses to win a special prize!
A fun way to explore the region throughout the autumn holidays… and get a few thrills along the way!
With its medieval castle, Aigle already offers the perfect setting for Halloween. From 20 to 25 October, however, its ghosts seem to be behaving rather strangely… It's up to visitors to investigate!
During Halloween at the Castle, children aged 6 to 10 explore the rooms, solve puzzles and try to discover what's troubling the spirits. A smoking syrup bar offers a chance to recharge, while the best costumes can enter a photo competition. The activity is included in castle admission and no booking is required.
On 24 October, the atmosphere changes at the SDIS Chablais fire station with the traditional Pumpkin Festival. Organised by the local toy library and the Chablais Young Firefighters, the event promises a day filled with creativity and togetherness.
And for those who prefer to reach new heights, Halloween also makes its way into the Fahy forest at Parc Aventure Aigle. For a whole week, the park is transformed into a veritable haunted realm: the forest is fully decorated to create a spellbinding atmosphere, there’s a major costume competition open to all, and a 10 per cent discount on admission for visitors in fancy dress – the perfect combination of a treetop adventure and seasonal thrills.

With a name like Les Diablerets, Halloween simply couldn't be missed! Here, the activities begin well before 31 October, keeping children entertained throughout much of the autumn holidays.
On 19 October, the Tourist Office is hosting a craft workshop for children aged 5 to 10. For one hour, young creators can make their own Halloween-themed creations and take their masterpieces home.
On 23 October, it's time for one of autumn's great traditions: pumpkin carving. With guidance throughout the activity, children can carve their own terrifying faces at the pumpkin-carving workshop organised by the Les Diablerets Tourist Office.
The following day, 24 October, head to the Maison des Congrès to solve The Witch's Riddle. Games, sporting challenges, traps and fun activities make up this adventure for brave little explorers.
And on 31 October, the village streets become the setting for an unmissable trick-or-treat hunt. Children meet local shopkeepers, answer their questions and try to collect as many sweets as possible. In Les Diablerets, Halloween certainly lives up to its name!

On 24 October, Leysin takes on the appearance of a cursed village. From 4 pm, head to the Place du Marché to kick off the festivities gently… or so it seems.
Children can bring their own spooky creatures to life during pumpkin-carving workshops, held from 4 to 5 pm and again from 5 to 6 pm. A face painter and various activities complete the programme until 6 pm.
As night falls, the atmosphere changes. From 6 to 10 pm, the Maison de Paroisse transforms into a truly haunted manor. Actors, monsters and a cursed maze await visitors brave enough to step inside and try to find their way out.
And throughout the autumn holidays, the Halloween Challenge offers another opportunity to explore Leysin through riddles and little missions.

After taking on the Halloween Challenge during the autumn holidays, save a little courage for the big Halloween weekend.
The festivities begin on the evening of 30 October in Le Sépey. The Société de développement du Sépey invites little monsters, witches and other creatures to explore the village on a trick-or-treat hunt. Pumpkin soup will warm everyone up, while a children's workshop will round off the evening. A friendly way to get into the Halloween spirit!
On 31 October, witches and wizards take over Col des Mosses. From 3 pm, let them guide you to their lair for an outdoor Halloween celebration lasting until 8 pm.
As the festivities take place outdoors, remember to adapt your costume — and especially your clothing — to the autumn temperatures!

In Villars, the festivities begin on 24 October with a fun-filled afternoon dedicated to families.
From 2 to 6 pm, children visit the village shops for the traditional trick-or-treat hunt. But this year, filling their bags isn't enough: some shopkeepers also offer games where children can collect stickers and complete a booklet before entering a prize draw.
A special Halloween menu at Roc Star, a selfie booth and various activities add to the day's entertainment, before a Halloween disco brings the festivities to a close.
On 31 October, Halloween takes on an entirely different atmosphere at the Villars Palace. The theatre hosts two Candlelight concerts in a magical candlelit setting: The Best of Hans Zimmer at 6 pm and A Tribute to Michael Jackson at 8 pm.
To extend the experience, Maison 1913 is also offering an exclusive four-course Halloween menu created by chef Christian Bertogna. A wonderfully different way to celebrate the most mysterious night of the year.

Carve a terrifying pumpkin, solve riddles in a haunted castle, fill your bag with sweets, brave a house full of monsters or listen to Hans Zimmer by candlelight: Halloween takes on many different forms in the Alpes Vaudoises.
Events run from 10 October to 1 November 2026, giving everyone the chance to enjoy the festivities well beyond Halloween night itself.
So, what will it be this year: sweet treats, spells or spine-chilling thrills?
