Discovering a region also means immersing yourself in its cultural and gastronomic heritage. The Alpes Vaudoises are brimming with experiences to enjoy and gourmet delights to savour! They say that after exertion comes comfort, so how about combining the two for an even more authentic immersion? Here are our five favourite activities!
Are you a walker, hiker or explorer of the mountains and their varied landscapes? Whether you have a specific destination in mind or not, you're sure to find something to delight you. La Diablerets Rando-Raclette allows you to choose your own route and stop whenever you want, with a delicious raclette to enjoy wherever and whenever you like: this activity is available all year round!
Simply reserve your bag for the day of your choice and pick it up at the Les Diablerets Tourist Office. The team will take care of everything: local cheese and sausage, bread, beers from the Brasserie des Diablerets or non-alcoholic drinks, and the stove! Choose your itinerary, whether you're on foot, on skis or snowshoeing, and you're ready to go.

If you enjoy solving puzzles and brain teasers, the Escape Games offered by ExoSport are perfect for you! Get ready to earn your meal like never before: during a two-hour outdoor treasure hunt, questions combining nature and Alpine traditions and challenges to be overcome will enable you to gather the ingredients you need for your supper. Each clue you find brings you closer to the magical place where you will enjoy your meal, in the middle of the forest.
After this gourmet break, a 30-minute stroll will take you back to your starting point, your head and heart filled with memories. An ideal activity for outdoor enthusiasts, foodies and the curious, to share a moment of conviviality in the mountains all year round!

After the treasure hunt, it's time for fondue on a makeshift table
Nothing motivates you more than the promise of a delicious fondue after a hike? Nestled in the heart of a majestic valley, the Solalex mountain pasture is accessible via a trail that winds through unspoilt and breathtaking nature. This two-hour round trip allows you to put on your snowshoes for a breathtaking outing, either in the afternoon or evening. Your destination: the distant lights of the Solalex refuge.
For night-time hikers, you can book a snowmobile ride back to the Cergnement car park, where vehicles must be parked (the refuge is not accessible by car). And whatever the time of day, the menu remains the same: a platter of local specialities, half-and-half fondue, and the traditional double cream meringue!

After doing your best, time to rest !
Do you enjoy sharing simple, authentic moments in good company? Does the idea of sledging under the stars appeal to you? At Col des Mosses, the Monts Chevreuils hut has put together an evening in the heart of nature for an unforgettable experience. Starting from La Lécherette, with your own sledge or one borrowed from the refuge, you can head to the hut for a delicious meal before your descent.
A creamy fondue is served in the warm and authentic setting of the restaurant, for an idyllic evening that children can also enjoy. Once you have eaten your fill, the descent awaits you: by the light of headlamps, under the starry sky, the descent begins at an altitude of 1,660 metres. It gently takes you back to your starting point, 300 metres lower down on the plateau.

A good fondue can also be enjoyed in the plains, in the vineyards! In the charming village of Ollon, let yourself be lulled by a rejuvenating stroll through the region's vineyards before heading to the vineyard office of Pierre and Michel Anex's estate. A tasty surprise awaits you there: everything you need to cook a traditional fondue, accompanied by a wine of your choice from the estate.
Once you have enjoyed your picnic, the doors of the wine estate will open upon your return for a tasting of the different wines produced on site. The winemaker will introduce you to a selection of around ten of his wines, taking you on a journey through their history and flavours. An authentic and flavourful experience to enjoy all year round: in summer, the winemaker's basket is overflowing with local and homemade products, from cheese to rillettes and sausage, not to mention seasonal fruit and vegetables!
