The charming village of Les Diablerets in the Alpes Vaudoises offers a wide range of dynamic outdoor activities. Come and enjoy adventures and sporting thrills tailored to your desires and those of your family! So, are you ready for some breathtaking experiences ?
Les Diablerets offers endless hiking opportunities for families to explore. For the more daring and adventurous, we highly recommend the challenging trail from the village to the Refuge de Pierredar. This demanding hike (with over 1,000 meters of elevation gain) passes through the enchanting landscape of Creux de Champ and rewards you with breathtaking views of the Diablerets massif! At the top, you'll find an authentic mountain hut, staffed by volunteers from mid-June to mid-September.
Once there, enjoy a memorable sunset and a warm meal lovingly prepared by the volunteers! You might even get the chance to help braid the traditional Swiss bread ("tresse") that will be served for breakfast the next morning…
A few tips
Be aware that certain sections are quite exposed and suitable only for hikers with a sure foot and experience in mountain terrain. Children and teenagers should already have some mountain hiking experience and be physically fit enough to take on this demanding route.

The world’s highest Alpine coaster will give your family an adrenaline rush on top of the Alpes Vaudoises, at Glacier 3000. With its 520° carousel, 10 sharp and gentle turns, 6 waves, and 3 jumps, you’ll reach speeds of about 40 km/h! Open only in summer, this activity pairs perfectly with exploring the Glacier Walk and the Peak Walk by Tissot—the only suspension bridge in the world connecting two mountain peaks.
The Alpine Coaster is accessible to children under certain conditions:

Les Diablerets offers 4 mountain bike loops suitable for all skill levels. One of them, the Isenau Bike (17 km, 800 m ascent, 2 hours), is a true regional gem that passes by many natural attractions. After renting your bike equipment (or even an e-scooter at Diablerets-Passe Montagne!), you’ll ride through several typical hamlets (Le Lavanchy, La Dia, and Ayerne) before reaching the panoramic Isenau Terrace, where a first break will be welcome.
From there, you can either follow the GPX track to Lac Retaud or take the easier Route des Moilles, which is better suited for beginners. The shores of this small mountain lake are perfect for a refreshing swim before heading back to the village of Les Diablerets. Paddleboard rentals are also available at Lac Retaud.
Isenau is a perfect spot for a mountain bike outing!

Looking for an activity that’s sure to please your teens during your stay in Les Diablerets? Head to the outdoor Pumptrack, the perfect playground to let off steam in a breathtaking natural setting, with stunning views of Glacier 3000!
This track, specially designed for wheeled sports enthusiasts, features rollers and banked turns for an experience that’s as fun as it is sporty. The goal? Keep your speed by “pumping” through dips and curves—without even pedaling. A fun and dynamic way to improve balance, coordination, and reflexes.
