Description
A day with the Vaud Alps guides to learn how to find your way in the mountains.
The day begins with an introduction to the basics of map reading and compass use.
The afternoon is devoted to practical exercises in the field, where you put into practice the concepts learnt in the classroom that morning. You will undertake an orienteering walk, during which you will practise reading maps in real time, using a compass to stay on course and identifying natural landmarks.
This practical approach helps you gain confidence and independence for your future hikes.
