Description

A loop, two passes, 66km and breathtaking landscapes! This very fluid tour allows you to discover the Pays-d'Enhaut and the Vaud Alps via the Pillon and Mosses passes.

Starting from one of the villages in the Pays-d'Enhaut, begin your tour through the Gruyère-Pays-d'Enhaut Regional Nature Park. Whether on your right or left, you are surrounded by peaks over 2'000m. See the famous Gummfluh from the village of Les Granges. As soon as you arrive in the municipality of Rougemont, the imposing Rübli will serve as a landmark. In addition to these mountains, the streets of Rougemont are lined with chalets that are more than 100 years old. At the entrance to the hamlet, you can also admire the magnificent church and castle built by the monks of Cluny. Once you have crossed the Vanel border, a slight descent takes you into the Saanenland. On your way, our Swiss-German neighbours invite you to discover the villages of Saanen, Gstaad, Feutersoey as well as Gsteig before returning to Vaud. The first pass is in front of you! Start the ascent through the forest to the summit of Pillon. This is where the Glacier 3000 cable car starts. The place is ideal for a cool moment in the middle of summer. Descend from the summit at 1540m to the village of Les Diablerets before reaching your second pass. Once in Le Sépey, it's time to face the Col des Mosses with a 400 Meters climb. On the way down from the Col des Mosses, stop at the village of Etivaz for a gourmet break. It is in this hamlet that the famous alpine cheese L'Etivaz AOP is kept.
