Description
Try the off-road scooter, a fun and sporty activity to be practiced on this advanced level itinerary which links the Roc d'Orsay to Villars.
From Villars, take the Roc d'Orsay cable car. Once at the top, on a scooter adapted for all-terrain use, start this route in the direction of Bretaye while following the red markings of the trottin'herbe. Take the tarmac road and just before arriving at Les Bouquetins, take the small road on the right towards La Berboleuse. Start the descent between paths, pastures and small bridges that will lead you to the rabbit trail. From this point, follow the blue "trottin'herbe" markings which will lead you to your starting point; the Roc d'Orsay cable car. ALTERNATIVE For the more experienced sportsmen, there is a black signposted trottin'herbe path which goes down directly from the top of the Roc d'Orsay. It then joins the red scooter trail on the right towards the Berboleuse.

TRANSPORT The Roc d'Orsay cable car is open every day from Saturday 17 June to Sunday 27 August and from Friday to Sunday from 1 September to 24 September + Monday 18 September. CARTE BIENVENUE AND CARTE FIDELITE - 50% discount on the gondola ride with the trottin'herbe MAGICPASS The gondola ride with the trottin'herbe is included with the Magic Pass RENTAL Rental is possible from June to October only and by half-day (morning or afternoon) according to the opening hours of each shop. Reservations are required for groups. It is advisable to book the equipment at the following sports shop: - Sport's House in Villars www.sportshouse.ch - Dätwyler Sport in Villars www.daetwyler-sports-villars.ch - Paragon Sport in Gryon www.paragonsport.ch PRACTICAL ADVICE - It is possible for children to scoot on the grass, check with the sports shops - Helmets are compulsory and are provided by the rental shops. PARKING Large free car park on the Place du Rendezvous (at the bottom of the Roc d'Orsay cable car)
