Les Ecovets - La Truche - Les Ecovets
You have arrived at the start of this itinerary, at Les Ecovets, bordering Villars. Take a moment and admire the view that extends to Lake Geneva and the resort of Leysin. There is a nice viewpoint a few minutes walk from the car park, past the Ecovets restaurant. From the small car park on the roadside, the first signs invite you to the Chemin de la Bergerie, which leads into the forest. After crossing a field and then a forest, continue your route uphill. Take breaks and enjoy the scenery! Join the road to Les Tailles, turn right and follow it uphill (several right-angled bends). When you reach La Truche, the highest point of this route, you go down through the snow-covered fields and return to your starting point. Turn right towards the signposts and walk down the path through the fields to the start of the route. You arrive at Les Ecovets.

ACCESS : - The starting point of this itinerary is located at Les Ecovets - Free parking on site SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS: - Ask about the weather and snow conditions before the start (no departure without visibility) - Carry a map or a plan of the route - Respect the signs and prohibitions - Always look for the next marker from the place where you are - Beware of false tracks; turn back if in doubt - Carry appropriate equipment, a drink and if possible a mobile phone - You are on your own responsibility when using the hiking, cross-country or tobogganing trails - We accept no responsibility for accidents, loss of control or problems caused by the forces of nature - Out of respect for wildlife and the environment, please keep your dog on a lead and pick up after it - Avoid littering in the wild - Pocket ashtrays are available free of charge at the Villars Tourist Office
