Description
Les Chaux - Tsamayen - Taveyanne
Starting from the top of the Les Chaux gondola lift, head up the concrete slope to Croix des Chaux (Chaux Ronde). Take the left path around the lake. After the avalanche barriers, head down to the poles then right into the fields of alders, where you might be able to spot some wildlife or grouse. Head over a small pass that opens out on the Tsamayen comb above Taveyanne. The view of Les Diablerets and the cirque around Taveyanne is spectacular here. Head down to the hamlet. You can return to Barboleuse along the Chemin des Raies. You can also keep going to Villars (via Coufin) or Les Diablerets. Take the gondola lift (July to October) or shuttle bus (June) to Les Chaux. The gondola is included in the Free Access Card.
