Description
This pretty hike from Les Chaux (Gryon) is ideal to find coolness in summer because you walk along this pleasant path in the forest and then along the Gryonne river before reaching Villars by the road of the Col de la Croix.
You reach the start of this hike by the cable car that links Barboleuse to Les Chaux. From the arrival of the cable car, follow the road for a few meters in the direction of Taveyanne before turning off into the forest which is on your left. Follow the path down to Le Luissalet. When you arrive at the Luissalet refuge, ideal for a break, you cross the road and take the direction of La Verneyre. You then follow the river, the Gryonne, along a path that was developed in 2018. You cross several small wooden bridges and come across various wooden sculptures. Finally, you arrive in Villars via the Roches Grises before reaching the centre of the resort.
