Description
This e-bike route starting from Barboleuse (Gryon) is ideal for an introduction to e-bike riding. Without difficulty and over a distance of 10km, this itinerary takes you through the heart of the Matélon wood and the Cergnement valley.
“Petite peinarde” is an easy e-bike route which is suitable for beginners and which takes you through magnificent countryside, from the Combes Valley to Gryon and Matélon, and down to the bottom of the Solalex Valley. From Barboleuse, you reach the Frassettes campsite (below the Barboleuse-Les Chaux cable car) and go down towards the village of Gryon. At the end of a steep descent, you branch off on your left in the direction of Les Pars (hairpin bend). To the right at the end of Les Pars, you cross a point on the Avançon river, and continue on your left towards Cergnement/Solalex via the forest. You will find this part of the itinerary cool and quiet. At the next crossroads, you leave the Solalex road which goes up ahead of you and go back down towards Cergnement. You cross another bridge on the Avançon. The end of the hike takes you back smoothly to your departure point.
