Description
Put on your mountain boots and set out to conquer the Laitemaire! The icing on the cake is the exceptional view from the summit.
From Château-d'Œx you can reach the summit of the Laitemaire. You will be at an altitude of more than 1,600m, which will allow you to dominate the four corners of the region. At the start of the hike, you will be in the centre of the village of Château-d'Œx. You will head towards the heights of the village in the direction of the Laitemaire. After several kilometres of climbing, you will find yourself at the Col de la Laitemaire. For the less athletic, this is where you can park your car before attacking the summit. You may be lucky enough to see animals in the pastures and greet the cows on your way. When you reach the top, admire the village of Château-d'Œx and its mountains. Before you leave, turn your head towards Gstaad and admire the Bernese Alps from your position.
