Golf - Ensex with snow-shoe

From the Golf de Villars, the snow-covered greens are your playground. From the Golf train stop, join the Golf and head towards the hamlet of Ensex on the hillside of the Chaux-Ronde massif, towards the Col de la Croix. The return journey is possible by the same route, on which take a gourmet break at the Golf Club House, and admire a splendid panorama of the surrounding mountains up to Mont Blanc! The most courageous also join Villars after the village of Ensex, via the Col de la Croix road. Here you share the piste with cross-country skiers and hikers.

Practical Information

Starting point of the hike : le Golf, access by train from Villars, Golf stop (3rd stop) Free parking at Rochegrise (near the train stop), limited to 10 hours Paid parking at the Centenaire in the centre of Villars, opposite the station. Some safety recommendations: - Find out about the weather and snow conditions before you leave (no departure without visibility) - Carry a map or a plan of the route - Respect the signs and prohibitions - Look for the next marker from the place where you are - Beware of false tracks and turn back in case of doubt - Carry appropriate equipment, a drink and if possible a mobile phone - You are on your own responsibility when using the hiking, cross-country or tobogganing trails - We accept no responsibility for accidents, loss of control or problems caused by the forces of nature - The ski slopes close at 5pm, beware of the grooming machines which start their work as soon as the slopes close - Out of respect for the fauna and the environment, keep your dog on a leash and pick up after it - Avoid littering in the countryside - Pocket ashtrays are available free of charge at the Villars Tourist Office
