Description

This hike is a classic in the region. No particular difficulty is to be expected on this itinerary, apart from the difference in altitude. The round trip from Solalex is done during the day with a pleasant break at the lake of Derborence halfway along the route. The landscapes crossed are grandiose between pastures, imposing limestone massif and alpine lake. In autumn, the variations in colour of the deciduous trees and larches make this hike even more beautiful.

From Solalex, head towards Anzeinde along the rocky path that winds between streams and larches. From Anzeinde, continue towards the Pas de Cheville. Here you cross a large pasture with a minimalist decor but rich in mountain flowers. From the Pas de Cheville, the highest point of this hike, you start a descent to the Derborence valley where cows graze peacefully. You have changed canton, you are now in Valais. Follow the forest path to Derborence and its lake with its many reflections. There is an inn by the lake. The return to Solalex is possible by the same route.
