From the small village of Rossinière, discover the flower gardens of Mont-Dessous! Stroll among the edelweiss in bloom. This is where many species of herbs and flowers are grown and dried to create wellness products.
Your starting point is the small village of Rossinière. It charms its visitors with its exceptional architectural heritage. During the first part of your walk, take a look at the Chalet de la Place or the Hôtel de Ville! These wooden chalets reflect the history and traditions of the region. After a few minutes, you are already on the heights of Rossinière. From your position, you can see the Lac du Vernex below the village. Thanks to its dam, it is a great place to fish during the summer season. Leave the inhabited village paths to reach the fresh grass fields. The climb through the forest takes you to a small natural paradise at an altitude of 1,350m. Can you smell the fragrance of lemon balm, mint and camomile? You are close to the brightly coloured plots of the Jardin des Monts. During the summer months, Charlotte and André cultivate numerous plants to produce wellness products. Aromatic and medicinal plants are king! Each plant is treated with great care. The harvest, always done by hand, allows them to select the best of what the garden has to offer in exchange for their good gardening care. Before going back down, sit down on the grass to enjoy the panoramic view of the mountains and the village of Rossinière. And if you want to know more about the Jardin de Monts, don't hesitate to join their guided tour. Several tours are scheduled throughout the summer season. The return journey is the same as the outward journey.

RECOMMENDATIONS: - take good walking shoes ACCESS & PARKING : - by car: several free car parks are available in the village centre - by train: via the MOB line (stop "Gare de Rossinière") For those who wish to reach the Garden more quickly, a second car park is available at the end of the tarmac road. (20-30 minutes walk) RESTAURATION : The restaurant of the Hôtel de ville and the Jardin de la Tour welcome you in the centre of the village.
