Adapted to all levels, this 3.6 km trail offers you a day and night experience with the castle of Rougemont and the surrounding mountains as a backdrop! Enjoy a sporting experience in one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland!

Get out your cross-country skis and take your place in the freshly prepared tracks! On this itinerary, you have the possibility to ski both classic and skating. The start of this loop is located below the castle of Rougemont, built in the 16th century. This winter, the route has been extended to the delight of cross-country skiers! Once you have put your skis on, head down towards the Sarine and take the bridge over the famous Pays-d'Enhaut river. With the strength of your arm, follow the piste while enjoying the view of the village of Rougemont. Some passages in the forest will take you into a magical atmosphere thanks to the snow-covered trees! Finish the loop by returning via the castle gardens. All this, combined with the surrounding mountains, forms the impressive backdrop to your hour-long hike, at your own pace. Fancy a few laps at sunset or in the evening? The slope's installations allow you to ski until 10pm thanks to its night lighting. A great way to get some exercise in a magical atmosphere!

- Suitable for beginners and experienced skiers - Night lighting from 6 pm to 10 pm - Information about the state of the pistes: phone +41 (0)26 925 11 66 - Daily and weekly cross-country ski pass on sale at the tourist office. GETTING THERE - By car: a free parking area is available at the trailhead (subject to good conditions) and at the station square. - By train: via the MOB line (stop "Gare de Rougemont"). It takes 2-minutes to walk to the track. 2023 - 2024 season: The cross-country skiing route - "La boucle du Château" is now closed
