Barboleuse – La Poreyre – Solalex – Bovonne - Cergnement - Barboleuse

This route starts at Barboleuse and follows the road towards Frience. Once you have started the ascent and gone around a few bends, you arrive at Les Ernets and take the trail to your right. The path leads you to La Poreyre then Solalex. Take the time to admire the view from above the alpine meadow of Solalex. You come face to face with the majestic Miroir d'Argentine. Here, you may see some daredevils attempting to negotiate this wall, which is well-known among climbing enthusiasts. On this trail, the Refuge de Solalex welcomes you throughout the summer, and you can take a break or taste an invigorating dish. At the end of the Solalex car park, this route takes you through the forest to La Benjamine, a former forester’s house. You follow an asphalt road as far as the intersection here, and then you take the road on your left which goes up towards Bovonne (leaving the road which goes off right towards Cergnement). After a pretty climb, you arrive at the hamlet of Bovonne, which is located at an altitude of 1,670 metres. Wooden chalets and meadows as far as the eye can see. Needless to say, the panorama from Bovonne is worth a detour. Open your eyes wide and you will leave with stunning images in your head or on your camera. You return down the same path once you have passed through the hamlet of Bovonne. At the bottom of the path, turn off in the direction of Cergnement and return to your starting point without difficulty.
