Description
From Aigle, the climb to Leysin passes through the charming hamlets of Fontanney and Ponty. The views of the RhĂ´ne plain and the Dents du Midi massif are breathtaking.
From the station, walk through the historic area of La Fontaine. Then go up through the place called "Ponty". The path winds its way through vineyards, forests and meadows. Lovely hamlets such as Fontanney add a certain charm to this walk. The views over the Rhone plain to the south are amazing. Once in Leysin, you can return to Aigle by the picturesque Aigle - Leysin (AL) mountain train or choose another return route via Crétayou or Veyges.
