Description

A route descending from the mountains to the vineyards between Villars and the charming village of Ollon.

This hike allows you to link the mountains and the wine village of Ollon by a pleasant itinerary, alternating open views and undergrowth, starting from the Villars cable car. First follow the direction of Les Ecovets and then En Curnaux by taking the path downhill before the restaurant of Les Ecovets. Near the parours vita you take the direction of Huémoz. You will have to cross the main road several times as you descend the pastures that lead you to Glutières before reaching the charming village of Ollon, surrounded by vineyards.

Practical Information

TRANSPORT: - The regular Aigle-Villars line (144), allows you to return to the Villars cable car every hour. PARKING: - Parking at the Villars cable car (Roc d'Orsay). A FEW TIPS: - Plan your walk (route, length, weather). - Make sure you’ve got the right equipment; sturdy footwear (climbing boots preferably), suitable clothing and protection from bad weather - Take sufficient food and drink. - Bring a first aid kit. - Be attentive to changes in weather - Close all gates behind you - Put out fires and refrain from lighting fires in dry conditions - Take your rubbish with you
