The commune of Lavey-Morcles is the access point to the canton of Vaud coming from the Valais. The difference in height is just impressive, as the village rises from the plain to an altitude of nearly 3000 metres. Vineyards, fields, forests, peaks and summits, mountain pastures, game, rivers and streams all confer a unique character to this area. To top it all off, the town boasts a stunning panoramic view over the entire Rhone plain, linking Martigny to Lake Geneva and its Chillon castle in a single glance.
In summer, an extensive and demanding network of footpaths connects to the hikes in the upper Nant valley. The Tourche hut is an excursion destination for walkers seeking physical exercise and culinary pleasures. It is open all summer.
In winter, the vineyard offers beautiful and easy walks to get some fresh air even in the coldest weather. Les Bains de Lavey offers naturally warm water that is good for the body and mind to counter the cold and lack of light of the winter season.
