Cross-country ski groomer

Paul-François Mermod, known as "Pollux", has been a snow groomer for almost 40 years.

He first tried out downhill trails, then in 1996 he started doing cross-country slopes.

As Pollux says, the variety of landscapes around the cross-country ski routes is incredible due to the fact that it is possible to come across all kinds of animals. This makes the work more interesting than on the ski slopes.

As soon as the first snow falls, the machines are out and the snow groomers are already making good tracks at the very beginning of the season. Pollux has even been known to lay out the cross-country ski trails in October.
