Train Bex-Villars-Bretaye (BVB)

Description

The Bex-Villars-Bretaye train line runs all year round between Bex and Villars via Gryon and makes several intermediate stops along the way. Your journey begins in the vineyards, reaches the green pastures in summer, or the snow-covered mountain pastures of Gryon and Villars in winter. Change trains in Villars and reach the Col de Bretaye!

Experience a panoramic train journey on the line that links Bex to Villars and the Col de Bretaye. From Bex station, leave the Rhone plain and cross the vineyards that cover the sunny hillsides of the region. As you climb, the vegetation changes, you gain altitude and reach the villages of Les Posses, then Gryon and finally Villars. Here forests and pastures shape the landscape. In Villars, change trains. Take a cogwheel train to the Col de Bretaye at an altitude of 1805 m.. There are several stops along the way, including the Col-de-Soud and the Golf de Villars. In winter, Bretaye is the starting point for the entire Villars-Gryon-Les Diablerets ski area. There are numerous mountain restaurants accessible to both pedestrians and skiers, and the start of snowshoe trails. In summer, there are numerous hiking trails, mountain bike or e-bike trails and routes for trottin'herbes. The mountain restaurants also welcome you in the summer.

IN SUMMER : The train Villars-Bretaye runs every day from 08:00 am to 5:00 pm. One train per hour. MAGIC PASS: The journey from Villars to Bretaye is included in the Magic Pass during the summer. BIKE TRANSPORT : Bike transport (mountain bike, e-bike, ...) is possible on the train between Villars and Bretaye from all stops except from the Rochegrise stop. IN WINTER : The train Villars-Bretaye runs every day from 08:00 am to 6:00 pm every 15 or 30 minutes. The journey from Villars to Bretaye and from Gryon to Villars are included in a valid skipass and the Magic Pass. The MAGIC PASS for the winter season is valid from December 4, 2021 to April 18, 2022. or according to the opening days of the ski resort.
