In the heart of Rossinière, the Balthus Chapel offers an immersion into the life of the famous figurative painter, through documentary films, photographs and various works.

In the centre of the village of Rossinière, the Balthus Chapel is a permanent meeting place with the famous artist, who lived in the Grand Chalet for the last 24 years of his life. Through three documentary films, as well as reproductions of photographs, letters and works, it invites the visitor to enter the universe and intimacy of this immense figurative painter of the 20th century. 9 important films by the director Jacqueline Veuve are presented to the public on woodworking. Still occupied by his wife, Countess Setsuko Klossowska de Rola, and their daughter, the building now houses the Balthus Foundation, created with the aim of perpetuating and making known the artist's work. In the garden below the chapel, visitors can also visit the tomb of the painter.

Accessible from the garden of the restaurant "Les jardins de la Tour". Free parking is available 50m from the entrance.
