Pra Cornet refuge
Description
The Pra Cornet refuge is located above Les Mosses and is so remote that it can only be reached with snowshoes or cross-country skis. On the way there, over the metre-high snow cover, only the sound of crunching underfoot breaks the absolute silence. You’ll feel completely at one with nature, enjoying the sun's rays falling through the pine branches, just before reaching the refuge for some well-deserved refreshments.
The Pra Cornet plateau guarantees the first cross-country ski runs with early snowfalls, from the middle of November to the middle of April. It is the ideal place for snowshoe hikers throughout the winter and it’s easy to reach for children too. Good homemade pies reward the climb. The refuge can be reached by cross-country skiing from Les Mosses or from the Pra Cornet ski lift as well as by snowshoes. On the way, forest animals and even goblins can hide among the trees. During the season, Pra Cornet offers special night events, such as story time or walks by moonlight. Friendly and joyful moments for young and old alike.
