Pierre-Alain Meylan

Description

Covering an area of some 5 hectares, this wine domain is cultivated in complete harmony and respect for the environment using biodynamic viticulture.

Treatments of the vines, clarification of the grapes and labour intensive grapepicking combine to ensure an excellent quality of grape and to give unprecedented structure and bouquet to the wines. A secondary sorting of red grapes is conducted on a conveyor belt. After 12 months aging in barrels, marrying modern techniques with the traditional and trusted methods, the wine is bottled exclusively at the winery itself. In total, 9 vintages of white, rosé and red wines are produced. Chasselas is the standout grape variety but there are also Cabernet franc and Gamarey specialities. An ornamental finishing touch comes with the handmade labels of local artist and sculptor André Raboud from St-Triphon.
