Description
If you're looking for a fun day out with family or friends, try swooping down the Bretaye or Les Chaux slopes on a specially adapted off-road scooter. If you don't like pedalling, then this is just the thing for you!
The ideal outdoor activity, dirt scooters are a fun way to explore the Villars-Gryon area. Hop onto the gondola at Roc d’ Orsay or Les Chaux or start your adventure on the BVB railway from Bretaye. Then off you go! Follow the trails from Roc d’Orsay to Villars via Bretaye and Col de Soud, or head down to Les Chaux to Barboleuse via the typical hamlet of Taveyanne.
Practical Information
This activity is only possible when the routes and lifts are open (Villars-Bretaye train, Roc D'Orsay cable car and Barboleuse-les Chaux cable car). Rental is possible by half-day (morning or afternoon) depending on the opening hours of each shop. It is advisable to book the equipment with the sports shop of your choice. Reservations are compulsory for groups. INSTRUCTIONS - The practice of trottin'herbe is possible for children, please contact the sports shops for more information - Wearing a helmet is compulsory, it is provided by the sports shops - This is a mountain sport; be respectful of other users (pedestrians, cyclists), fauna and flora. - In case of heavy rain, the paths can become difficult to walk on, the sports shops will advise you on how to practice this activity safely. CARTE BIENVENUE AND CARTE FIDELITE - Free rental of the scooter from June to October at Paragon Sport per half day (morning or afternoon). - Access to the start of the scooter routes is by train (Villars-Bretaye) or by gondola (Roc d'Orsay in Villars or Les Chaux in Gryon), it is possible to go up to the Alpe des Chaux with buses 145 and 165. - 50% discount on transport (train and cable car), full price only. - As the number of trottin'herbes is limited, it is advisable to book directly with Paragon Sport.
