Over the space of a few years, projects came to fruition thanks to crowdfunding. Coopérative La Mine is intending to develop an eco-system of support between consumers, producers, suppliers and distributors associated with beer. The beers are produced using spring water collected from the hills around the municipality of Bex. The brewery supports the development of a hop plantation at Dévens as well as organic malt barley in Bex. Spent grain, the cereal remaining after brewing, is offered to the farmers and bakers in the region. Synergies are gaining ground at a local level with the players in the region and more particularly the salt mines in Bex and a wine-grower! Several types of beer have already seen the light of day to vary the flavours available: - A hop beer with the flavour of citrus fruit: La Minette - A red ale with a smoky nose: la Carmine - A brown ale with a chocolate and coffee aroma: la Baramine Very soon the range of beers will be enriched with a Gose beer called «La Minérale» composed of salt originating from the «la Saline de Bex» (Bex salt plant)! As well as a «LocaMine» produced on the basis of 100% barley and hops from Bex. You can find these beers at regional events, in the local shops or on sale online on the website of the cooperative.
