Rivières & Aventures

Description

Rafting, canyoning and hydrospeed, unforgettable experiences!

Venture out on to the river this summer... The Sarine offers a rage of activities in a wild and natural setting, for those looking for something new. Whether it’s rafting, canyoning, hydrospeed or kayaking, the experienced guides from “Rivières et Aventures” in Château-d’Œx will look after you in complete safety whatever your level. There is only one condition, you must be able to swim. The section of river from Saanen, in the Bernese Oberland, to Château-d’Œx is 15 kilometres-long and considered to be one of the most beautiful locations in Switzerland. And for good reason. Either in groups or as a family, the trip will take you through the impressive gorges of Vanel and Gérignoz, over rapids, winding wound rocks and through verdant forests. Excitement and adventure are guaranteed. “Rivières et Aventures” also offers beginner’s courses in rafting for anyone aged nine or over. If you’re not keen on the river, why not try canyoning? There are two canyon routes available: the first is the canyon of Torneresse, about 1 kilometre below l’Etivaz, and the other is the Tine, around 10 kilometres from Château-d’Œx. An exciting programme includes walking and swimming down the river bed, jumps and slides on rock walls polished smooth by the action of the water, as well as visits to underground caves and even zip lines! With your nose at water level, equipped with a float, fins and a padded wetsuit, hydrospeed is more athletic and physical but provides a new and exciting experience. The trip runs from Saanen to Rougement and lets you surf the waves and admire the stunning scenery as you float down with the current. An amazing experience to take your mind of life’s everyday worries.
