Grand Chamossaire chair lift
Description
The Grand Chamossaire chair lift connects Bretaye and the summit of the Grand Chamossaire.
Reach the summit of Grand Chamossaire, the highest summit in Villars, located at an altitude of 2,112 metres, with the chair lift that runs from Bretaye. This chair lift is open during the summer period for carrying walkers and mountain bikers. As soon as you arrive at the summit, you can admire the panorama, which includes the RhĂ´ne Valley, Lake Geneva, Mont Blanc, the Dents du Midi and the Bernese Alps, from this unique viewing point Pedestrians can go on a hike as far as Petit Chamossaire, the neighbouring summit. Various trail options can then be chosen from there. A mountain bike track enables enthusiasts to ride down into an area bounded by the summit of the Grand Chamossaire as far as Bretaye station, where you then go back up with the chair lift, fully qualified for this super activity.
Practical Information
IN SUMMER : - The chairlift can be used in both directions for pedestrians (up and down). - Tickets and day passes can be purchased online and at the Roc d'Orsay, Barboleuse, Les Diablerets or Villars station. - All bicycles (including electric bikes) are allowed on the different open lifts. CARTE BIENVENUE AND CARTE FIDELITE - 50% discount on the normal chairlift fare during opening periods.
