Grand Chamossaire chair lift
Description
The Grand Chamossaire chair lift connects Bretaye and the summit of the Grand Chamossaire.
Reach the summit of Grand Chamossaire, the highest summit in Villars, located at an altitude of 2,112 metres, with the chair lift that runs from Bretaye. This chair lift is open during the summer period for carrying walkers and mountain bikers. As soon as you arrive, you can admire the panorama, which includes the RhĂ´ne Valley, Lake Geneva, Mont Blanc, the Dents du Midi and the Bernese Alps, from this unique viewing point. Enjoy the unique experience of the sensory cabin, installed at the summit of the Grand Chamossaire. Facing the void, it offers visitors a vertiginous experience combining sight, sound, imagination and a real immersion in the Alpine landscape. Pedestrians can go on a hike as far as Petit Chamossaire, the neighbouring summit. Various trail options can then be chosen from there.
Practical Information
IN SUMMER : - The chairlift can be used in both directions for pedestrians (up and down). - Tickets and day passes can be purchased online and at the Roc d'Orsay, Barboleuse, Les Diablerets or Villars station. - All bicycles (including electric bikes) are allowed on the different open lifts. CARTE BIENVENUE AND CARTE FIDELITE - 50% discount on the normal chairlift fare during opening periods.
