Disc Golf in Pays-d'Enhaut

Description

In the heart of the pastures, the disc golf offers you an unforgettable moment of relaxation.

Want to try a new trendy sport? Then why not try Disc Golf. Offered at the Col de la Laitemaire in Château-d'Œx, this outdoor activity is designed for young and old, amateurs and experts alike. Based on the rules of golf and originating in the United States, the game is based on a simple principle: throwing discs similar to Frisbees, but smaller and heavier, into metal baskets, along a course of several holes. Fun, ecological and free! In Château-d'Oex, a course of ten baskets that can be completely dismantled awaits the participants, in the alpine pastures of the Laitemaire at an altitude of 1'678 metres. Bastien Rossier, an apprentice chimney sweep in his father's company, is one of the investigators of the project: "We wanted to offer something new and original for holidaymakers and the inhabitants of the Pays-d'Enhaut. The Disc Golf is fun, ecological and free, and it perfectly matches these criteria. The site is completely free of charge and is open from the beginning of August once the fields have been mowed. This gives you plenty of time to play around natural obstacles such as bushes, trees and hills. For nature lovers, the site also offers a splendid view of Mont Blanc and the Dents-du-Midi.

Practical Information

Free access. Open from the beginning of August once the fields have been mowed. The discs can be rented from Mirella Fleurs in Château-d'Œx. On request, organisation of initiation days for companies or individuals. Thanks to the Pass d'Enhaut, get a 20% discount on disc rental.
