The Mérite Sportif crag, straddled by the Dar waterfall, is situated right opposite the road. Here you'll find some great single-pitch routes, mainly on the yellow rock. The climbing style is more challenging on the vertical sometimes overhanging rough strata.
Shortly before the Col du Pillon, on the Vaud side, coming from the village of Les Diablerets, you can see on the right from the road a massive wall descended by a waterfall. This wall is made up of vertical to overhanging zones. On this sector, the climbing is athletic but its reading is rarely binary. Note that this yellow rock remains dry even in heavy rain. To reach it, from the Col du Pillon car park, take the path that goes down to the via ferrata, then follow the path that crosses a field and joins the cliff at the bottom left. Go along the base of the wall. The approach walk takes about 15 minutes.
Aspect: North-West Difficulty: advanced/extreme Grade: 6a to 8a Altitude: 1,550 metres Rock type: limestone
