In the shadow of Aigle Château, winemakers Anick and Didier Badan are delighted to welcome wine lovers into their new « vinothèque ». It’s the perfect place to taste the fruits of their labour in the historic Cloisters district. With expert advice on hand you can learn all about the Badan wines and couldn’t wish for a better winetasting experience.
Recently awarded the Vaud Wine Tourism badge, the Badan family looks after all its visitors’ needs. The « vinothèque » is a reception centre dedicated to the discovery and tasting of the vintages produced from 15 hectares of vineyards spread out over the sunny hillsides of Aigle, Yvorne, Ollon and Bex. As well as being able to buy wines there, you can also pick up some regional specialities which are also on sale. Throughout the year events are regularly organised including open days in the cellars and themed aperitifs. As well as the new « vinothèque », the impressive stone-roofed vaults in the Badan family cellar can host up to 46 guests for a meal to celebrate a special family occasion or a company outing. The event can of course be combined with a visit to the cellar and with a winetasting.
